VERY SURPRISED That The Video Capabilty Sealed The Deal!, I bought my SD780is Amazon just before Black Monday for $ 169 (the price that lasted 24 hours)! I looked at many cameras before purchasing. I wanted something that has great pictures and is easy to use. This camera has given me so much. This camera is extremely small and slips easily into his pants pocket so I wear more than any other camera I've ever had.
If you want to go full manual that has the ability, but I shot almost all cars and are satisfied with the result. The long shutter lag (the time it takes from the moment you press the shutter button to when the image is actually taken) frustrated in my old point-and-shoot, but shutter lag of this camera is very short.
The interesting thing was the video. I did not want to shoot video with a point-and-shoot that I was going to buy. I was thinking of buying a video camera and another some time later. Then I noticed that the SD780is HD video footage in which others are not the price. I do not have much footage, but I think this camera will be able to do both. I am very happy with the video I shot and I think the picture quality is superior to my camera itself. Not one of those little ribbons!
If you do not plan to shoot video very least, buy a 8gig SDHC memory card (even better one 16Gig) and do not buy on eBay. Lot buyers angry that ended with 3Gig marked as 16Gig cards purchased from Chinese sellers.
